We support projects that activate
the forest-based bioeconomy
We promote resilient landscapes
Our work responds to an urgent need: to manage Mediterranean forest resources in ways that reduce wildfire risk, restore ecosystem dynamics, and reactivate local economies.
In this context, structural wood becomes a technical, environmental, and socio‑economic solution: we transform an underused resource into a valuable opportunity.
Wood is a material that, when managed responsibly, stores carbon throughout its entire life cycle. In construction, it helps reduce emissions by replacing carbon‑intensive materials and improving energy efficiency. It also prolongs the storage of atmospheric CO₂ in the form of biogenic carbon within buildings.
Projects that incorporate traceable, quality‑assured local wood directly add environmental and territorial value. For construction and urban design, it becomes a key resource for driving the ecological transition.
What do we do?
We work along the entire value chain, from forest management to on‑site application. The Forestry Hub in Olius is the physical and operational demonstration of this approach: an industrial reference centre where each phase of the process is visible, tangible, and scalable.
Adaptive and multifunctional forestry
Through tree marking, felling, and extraction, we enhance the forest’s ecological functions and the ecosystem services it provides. This approach reflects Mediterranean forest management practices, based on native species adapted to local climate conditions. It enables the production of renewable raw materials, among other uses, for the construction sector.
First transformation in Saldes: sawing and drying
We prepare timber for structural use through controlled sawing and technical drying processes, ensuring dimensional stability and mechanical performance.
Second transformation in Olius: industrialization of structural products
We manufacture glued laminated beams, CLT panels, and other construction components using locally sourced wood. Advanced technology guarantees traceability, strength, and efficiency. Our system is designed to adapt to the needs of both public and private construction projects.
Industrialized construction with local wood
We develop integrated construction solutions with efficient assembly systems, thermal and acoustic sealing, and high energy performance. The Hub building itself is a full-scale demonstration, built entirely with structural wood from the territory.
Why do we do it?
Because we care about the landscape shaped in each part of the territory.
Every project using local wood has a direct impact on Mediterranean landscape resilience. We are talking about ecological resilience, the capacity of the system to recover from disturbances such as fires, droughts or pests. But also, about socio-economic resilience, insofar as these activities activate local economies, specialized employment and productive innovation.
This vision is inseparable from our mission: to build a bioeconomy rooted in the territory, circular, efficient, and grounded in scientific and technical knowledge.
Who are we addressing?
Our services and technical expertise are aimed at architects, engineers, builders, installers, developers, and public administrations committed to sustainable construction with guaranteed quality and traceability. We offer:
Comprehensive
technical advice
from design to
on-site assembly
Specialized
training
Origin and Quality Certification
adapted to both public and private construction projects
Industrial
infrastructure
available to test, manufacture or develop building components
The Forestry Hub is a centre for technology transfer, applied innovation, and collaboration between professionals, companies, and public institutions. Every project that enters the Hub leaves with greater value, better preparation, and a positive territorial impact.
